A Galaxy of Stitches

Our exhibition theme for this year is based galaxies, no not the chocolate bar.... space. Although I expect there will be a few chocolate bars consumed during our creative process. We'll be posting some sneek previews of ongoing work over the next few weeks. To start you off here is a glimpse of what Anne Leyland is working on...

• The Night Sky

Anne has certainly been inspired by our galaxy theme. Beads and braids are featured in this snippet, I'm intreagued to see the whole piece.

• Galaxy

Who knows what Anne might be keeping in this beautifully embroidered, bead encrusted, hand made box. Her jewels or her secret chocolate stash....

• Comet

Anne has teased us with this glimpse...

I can't wait to see the whole pieces and knowing Anne there will be plenty more to come. I hope you've liked this little preview too.

Our First Blog

Natural Progression Textile Group... who are we and what do we do.

Well, as our name suggests, we are a group of textile artists. We are based in and around Preston, Lancashire, UK.

Most of us met when we were studying for our City & Guilds in Embroidery at Preston College. We kept in touch after college and decided to form a group to encourage and support each other in our journey in textiles.

We hope, in this blog, you will join us too.
